Y’all know my love for awards season and this weekend was one of my biggies, with the Grammy’s and the BAFTA’s (things I can’t even handle right now) showcasing some hard work.
Let’s focus on the Grammy’s here, though, and you can hop to the Morning Spice for BAFTA news.
Firstly, I know how much everyone loves and adores Sam Smith, but I just don’t get it. Smith managed not one but four wins: Record of the Year, Song of the Year (Stay with me), Best New Artist and Best Vocal Pop Album.
Thank god Beck has come back onto the scene – he won Album of the Year.
Pharrell Williams won Best Pop Solo Performance for Happy, which makes me kinda happy, and Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett won Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album for Cheek To Cheek. Eminem won Best Rap Album for The Marshall Mathers LP2, and I’m finally going to get everyone to sing Let It Go because it won Best Song Written for Visual Media. You can thank me later for that when you’re halfway through Monday and just need something nice to watch.
