South African fans of Colonel Sanders rejoiced when the Double Crunch burger returned, although general office consensus remains that it is but a shadow of its former self.

Now the good people of the Philippines are the global guinea pigs for KFC’s latest offering. On sale for a two-day trial period, and in limited numbers, we introduce to you…the Double Down Dog.

If it wasn’t clear from the picture above that is a hot dog wrapped in a fried chicken bun. Too healthy? Drizzle some cheese sauce on top to ensure coronary collapse.

Of course the proof is in the pudding. What does this bad boy look like when served?

Let’s hope the Filipinos do the right thing and shut this atrocity down before it reaches our shores. I will take the Double Crunch 2.0 over this guy any day of the week, thank you very much.
