Most of us will agree that photobombing can be hilarious. The girls have all gathered, put on their best pout faces and as someone clicks to take the photo that will be everyone’s profile picture by tomorrow, you appear. Only you don’t just appear, you pull the ugliest face you can and successfully spoil the whole affair. Well played.
Well this is selfie politics taken to the whole next level. People in Lebanon aren’t too pleased with their representative at the Miss Universe contest, Saly Greige, after she appeared in a picture with Miss Israel. Suffice to say Lebanon and Israel aren’t exactly besties. This from NBC:
Greige explained the situation on her Facebook page, saying she had been trying to avoid communicating with and taking a photo with Miss Israel since arriving at the competition, but while she “was having a photo with Miss Japan, Miss Slovenia and myself; suddenly Miss Israel jumped in, took a selfie, and put it on her social media.
Let’s just hope this doesn’t spoil the whole contest and everyone can focus on the important parts of the Miss Universe contest. You know, like making money through the objectification of women.
