Not content with being the number one tool for creepers and attention seekers (status: feeling so sad today…cue flood of concern from besties) Facebook is now expanding its reach with the release of the iOS and Android “Facebook At Work” and “FB@Work”.
As you may have guessed, the new product is aimed at increasing connectivity in the work place, with techcrunch reporting:
Employers can create separate log-ins for employees to use with their Work accounts, or users can link these up with their other profiles to access everything in one place…
Rasmussen [Facebook’s engineering director] says that Facebook has effectively been working on Work for the last 10 years, because it is based on what Facebook’s own employees have been using to communicate with each other, pass on news, plan meetings and share documents.
Whilst ‘Facebook At Work’ is available for download from iOS (limited pilot only) the Android version is not yet live.
Here’s hoping this may kill off those work chain emails. FUNNIEST JOKE EVER – MUST READ…thanks dude from accounts, stick to what you’re good at.
