Remember the nanny who kicked and stood on the baby, and got caught because her boss had placed a hidden camera in the house? She has finally been sentenced and will be spending the next four years in jail.

Good.

Jolly Tumuhirwe (the nanny) is only 22-years old, and wow, has she ruined her life. Jolly begged for forgiveness whilst in the courtroom on Friday.

The Chief Magistrate Lillian Buchan told Jolly that “she had committed an ‘unjustifiable and inexcusable’ crime”. She also said that four years in jail is “appropriate in light of the ‘ruthlessness exhibited’ on an ‘innocent, helpless child'”.

I like that the Ugandan authorities passed the sentencing so quickly.
