I know you have spent the last umpteen Sundays watching Idols (I’m more of an X Factor girl) and are so so proud of what talent emerged from the contestants. And I think it’s very clever that they air the final at the end of spring because they KNOW we will all be on the beach from now onwards on Sunday afternoons.
Anyway, because you care, the winner of Idols 2014 is Vincent Bones.
Vince came all the way from Pietermaritzburg and took the season by storm. He grew up on the streets of Pretoria, homeless, so this is a great turnaround.
“We have two incredibly talented singers with mature voices who are able to cover a large spectrum of music, and I think that they both have bright careers ahead of them. We look forward to working with Vincent on his album.”
Randall Abrahams, who is practically our very own Simon, praised the two finalists.
Now that I actually think about it, I haven’t seen Idols since Karen Kortje won. Anyone know what happened to her career?
