Calling Led Zeppelin out on musical plagiarism is just short of blasphemy, but someone has done it, again. Gasp.
A new lawsuit filed by The Randy Craig Wolfe Trust, which controls the intellectual property of the musician better known as Randy California, founder of the band Spirit, is set to shake things up for the iconic band.
The lawsuit claims that Zeppelin stole the musical composition of Spirit’s instrumental track “Taurus”, as the two sound WAY too similar.
Attorneys for Page, and the rest of the band, dodeny that “Stairway to Heaven” is derived from “Taurus.”
