Sarafan Advertising Agency in Russia thought that putting advertising on the side of vans and trucks was a good idea, because advertising on the sides of public transport works well. They did not anticipate their PR campaign gathering as much attention as it did, though.
The advert consisted of a lovely set of breasts with the tag line “They Attract”.
Put onto the side of 30 vans in Moscow, the boobs caused over 500 car accidents in just 24-hours.
“I was on my way to a business meeting when I saw this truck with a huge photo of breasts on its side go by. Then I was hit by the car behind who said he had been distracted by the truck.”
The ad agency has said it will cover the costs of all damages caused by the campaign.
