As the dust settles on an intriguing year, we will all admit retrospect is such a beautiful thing. Just ask South Park’s favourite super hero Captain Hindsight.
The lads at Keo have collated their favourite memories from a year when the debate between conservative and expansive rugby has been at the forefront of everybody’s minds. Apparently nobody is putting up an honorary plaque for Peter de Villiers either.
In addition to generic categories such as the Test Player and Coach of the Year Awards, Keo’s writers have brought their own personality through the Mighty Mouse Award, the Living Up to the Hype Award and my personal favourite, the Foot In Mouth Award. They even recognise a Burgeoning Bromance between three Wallabies, but while much of what they say is in jest, the analysis is as thorough as ever.
You’ll also notice that we’ve provided the video for their Biggest Hit of the Year Award, which went to Danie Rossouw. The Character Formerly Known as The Loose Forward enjoyed that one.
