Remember when mobile phones were getting smaller and smaller? They went from large concrete brick size to this:
You practically needed an earbud to type out an SMS.
And then, YAY! The iPhone entered our lives and we could once again see the screen, and most of us could type on the touch screen.
But now they just keep on getting bigger and bigger, and they no longer fit in the pockets of my daisy dukes.
Enter the reinvention of fashion. Again.
Japanese brand Uniqlo is “having conversations currently with the product development team regarding technology overall, and how our clothes can provide compatibility from a user perspective. Jean pockets is one of those conversations.”
It is not just Uniqlo that has hopped on the bandwagon. Levi’s, J-Crew, American Eagle and H&M have deepened their pocket sizes to fit in the new iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. The men are having it easier, though, with most pockets handling the size of the phones, where women’s pockets are struggling. But at least we still get to carry around handbags.
Fashion will get there eventually. Or maybe phones will start getting smaller again. Until then, you can get these jeans from American brand I/O Denim… They have knee pockets. FTW.
