Oh, go(o)d. If ever you didn’t want someone to doubt their entire faith and what they have based their whole life on, it’s this guy.
The Archbishop of Canterbury has commented that, actually, sometimes he wonders about God’s existence.
“There are moments, sure, when you think, ‘Is there a God?’ ‘Where is God?'”
Talking at the Standing Room Only event at Bristol Cathedral, the Archbishop answered questions, and said that one can still be a Christian and still have doubt sometimes. He also says that the Psalms are filled with doubt.
“The other day I was praying over something as I was running, and I ended up saying to God ‘look this is all very well, but isn’t it about time you did something, if you’re there?'”
He sounds like a pretty cool dude, and definitely won’t be crucifying anyone for only believing 99.9%.
