While 3D printing is being used for all types of uses, the most beneficial purpose is for medical reasons.
A young boy has been given a prosthetic hand thanks to a 3D printer, and it looks like Iron Man’s, which is awesome.
Rayven “Bubba” Kahae was born with a rare disease that resulted in him having no fingers on his one hand, but thanks to non-profit group E-nabling, Rayven was able to get some superhero-inspired digits on his hand.
The brilliant prosthetic uses no electricity, so it will never break down or run out of battery power, and due to E-nabling’s fundraising efforts it didn’t cost the Kahae family anything.
