Finally, it is here. The Apple Watch (please don’t be calling it the iWatch).
Launched yesterday, along with the new iPhone 6 family, I’ve already heard plenty of people saying they want one. And after watching the video, who wouldn’t?
There are three watches to choose from: Apple Watch, Apple Watch Sport, and Apple Watch Edition. The difference between them? Oh, just the aluminium, 18K gold, or pink gold option, and the replaceable straps, which “vary between feminine, masculine and youthful”.
The watch also comes in two sizes, one for ladies, and one for men. So, you can have a rose gold, feminine Apple Watch, that does everything.
It includes Siri (thank goodness). LEDs can measure your heart rate whilst you use your running app. You can customise the watch face to your liking (we’re talking changing colours and a Mickey Mouse option). And it works with Apple Pay, Apple’s new mobile payments system.
The Watch is controlled mostly by the “digital crown” (the button you would usually use to change the time on your normal, boring watch), as well as touch.
There is so much to learn and do with the new Apple Watch. Retailing at $350, Apple says they will be available from 2015.
