Since the big celebrity hacking scandal which revealed the likes of Jennifer Lawrence’s naked images to the world, people seem to be frowning more than ever with regards to sexting pics and texts, but some believe that should never be the case.
Author Marrie Lobel says that sexting has improved her relationship, and that the hackers should be terribly ashamed of the privacy they’ve invaded.
I have the right to express my sexuality with my adult partner; whether we are in the same room or on cellphones. And both should be assumed private and protected accordingly.
The latest research shows sexting among adults is on the rise; 22% of 25-34-year-olds have sent a sext, and 34% have received one. With nearly a third of adults between the ages of 25-34 sexting, do you really feel wagging your finger will curb the trend?

Sexting has been labeled bad and harmful when in reality it has many benefits and is actually a tool utilized by couple’s therapy professionals. Sexting can facilitate otherwise difficult conversations and allow partners to freely express their sexual desires. Couples can weigh each other’s reactions uninhibited by flushed faces or sweaty palms. Anxiety that typically comes with communicating sexual preferences to your partner is now warmly received, facilitating optimism.
Consensual sexting can lead to increased intimacy, mutual respect and understanding, all free from judgment.
