Apple is currently building a top-secret spaceship campus in Cupertino, California, that’s set to be completed in 2016, but a YouTuber has given us an early glimpse of the construction site thanks to some drone footage.
Apple’s new headquarters — informally called the “spaceship campus” due to its oval shape — will be a 2.8 million square foot, glass-sheathed oval main building. The campus will include a 100,000 square foot fitness center and a 120,000 square foot auditorium; additionally, Apple plans to build another 600,000 square feet worth of office and R&D buildings.
The footage was obtained by using a GoPro Hero 3+ Black edition and a DJI Phantom 2 drone which “remained under 400 feet as per FAA regulation for remote controlled airplanes and helicopters and not within any airport no-fly zones,” according to the video uploader.
You can also get an epic drone for yourself from Drone Photo, who have some different models and options available, including drones with GPS, camera and stabilising features on offer.
