Singapore’s national water polo team is in a bit of trouble with the Ministry of Information, Communications and the Arts for their latest uniform design – which places the crescent moon and stars from the Singaporean flag right about where a crescent-moon-shaped part of the anatomy would be if they weren’t wearing anything.
Well I mean obviously it’s not exactly crescent-moon-shaped, but from a certain angle…
By Singaporean law, never known for its sense of humour,
“no person shall use the flag or any image thereof as or as part of any costume or attire unless approval is given by the Minister and there is no disrespect for the flag.”
Which means, professional water-polo player or not, these dudes are looking at S$1,000 fines. Which is what you get for wearing red banana hammocks.
Thanks, Carryn
