LOAD-SHEDDING: This Interactive Map Shows You Where And When It’s Happening

This map takes the hassle out of load-shedding! Save this as a bookmark, and make sure you plan your day around the potential power-outs...

Although Eskom’s site currently says it is not load-shedding, it could happen at any moment and it seems to be inevitable. Thus, it is necessary for us all to plan around the possibility – even if it does not end up happening. There is truly nothing worse than scheduling a meeting and then having no power to deliver the knock-out presentation you spent all week working on.

The schedule on Eskom’s website can be a little confusing, especially if you are not a mind-reader and can’t guess which zone Eskom have lumped you in. This map clearly defines the boundaries so that there is no confusion.

It is really simple and it shows you exactly where and when you should prepare to be without power.

We do apologise, though, to those of you who do not live somewhere on this map.

Firstly, you are missing out on the beauty that is the South-Western Cape. Secondly, you will have to continue using the Eskom schedule to plan your life. Should this handy tool become available to other areas, you – dear readers – will be the first to know.

Thanks Tara
