Former Bok hooker, Chiliboy Ralepelle, faces a two-year ban as it’s been found that traces of Drostanalone were found in his ‘A’ sample.
Ralepelle, who now plays for Toulouse in the French Top 14 competition, is currently recovering from an injury he sustained in February. The 27-year-old was tested out of competition, but was found to have the anabolic steroid, that is often used in bodybuilding, in his system.
Ralepelle is now under investigation, with a final verdict to be announced following the examination of conclusive evidence and Ralepelle’s defence.
For now, I insist on the fact that Chiliboy is presumed innocent. Moreover, I can not penalize a player if there is no final judgment. But if it turns out he knowingly took illegal substances, we would be intransigent. – Toulouse president René Bouscatel.
This isn’t the first time the former Bulls player has been caught out, as he, along with Bulls winger Bjorn Basson, were found to have a banned substance – methylhexanamine – in their system back in 2010.
