An attempted hijacking aboard a Virgin Australia flight bound for Bali has failed, with the plane successfully grounded by the pilots at the intended destination.
Flight tracking website Flightrader initially reported the Virgin Blue flight VA41 was ‘hijacked’ en route from Brisbane, Australia.

A spokesperson for Virgin has stated that the passenger, who has since been arrested, was drunk, and his attempt to enter the cockpit was a “misunderstanding”, and did not amount to an attempted hijacking.
Although, this is a good point:
So a drunk passenger tried to get into the cockpit on a flight to Bali, Sky News and others ran it as a hi-jacking story? Okay.
