Hollywood was rocked in recent weeks with allegations that X-Men director, Brian Singer is one of a group of Hollywood executives that make up a predatory sex ring, targeting minors and new performers. But casting couch horror stories are as old as the Hills…

At the tender age of 19, a producer invited Charlize Theron to his home to read for a part. “I thought it was a little odd that the audition was on a Saturday night at his house in Los Angeles…” Theron says that it soon became “very clear what the situation was.” That’s when she tjooned him, “Got the wrong girl, buddy!”

In a 2012 interview with Elle magazine, Susan Sarandon remembered an ocassion at the start of her career when she was sexually assaulted by a casting agent. “I just went into a room, and a guy practically threw me on the desk.” So what happened? Sarandon is mum on the details, but says the outcome was “not successful, for either of us.”

In a 2009 interview with British GQ, Megan Fox claimed to have been propositioned by Hollywood veterans even after she landed her first major roles. “You think you’re going to meet them and you’re so excited, like, ‘I can’t believe this person wants to have a conversation with me’, and you get there and you realize that’s not what they want at all.” 

One times child star, Corey Feldman reckons he was lucky to get out of Hollywood without suffering sexual abuse of some kind. “I was surrounded by [pedophiles] when I was 14-years-old…It wasn’t until I was old enough to realize what they were and what they wanted…till I went, ‘Oh my God’. They were everywhere.”

But it’s not like this is a new phenomenon. Get Happy, writer Gerald Clarke claims in the book that Judy Garland was sexually molested when she was a teen by Hollywood icon Louis B Mayer. Allegedly, Mayer used to “place his hand on her left breast” when instructing her to “sing from the heart.” After four years of that crap, Judy stopped Mayer and said, “If you want to tell me where I sing from, just point.”
