Where sanctions, diplomacy and international laws have failed; will refusing sex solve the developing crisis in Crimea? Withholding sex is an age old practice by women in relationships in order to get their way. Ukrainian women have started a campaign to deny Russian men sex.

Selling t-shirts featuring suggestive cupped hands and the slogan “Don’t give it to a Russian,” the proceeds of the campaign go directly to the Ukrainian army. Withholding sex as a means of protest has been around since Ancient Greece, where women banded together in chastity, until the fighting stopped or diplomacy started.
