I’ve just received a slightly frantic email from Seth, instructing me to tell you about the “greatest app ever invented.” It’s called Cloak, and the man is literally plutzing. He almost phoned me to tell me about it.
The thing is, Seth is actually something of a recluse. He finds it hard to trust people. He’s great in person if he is prepared and aware, but if he runs into you out of the blue – well, the man does a fairly good impression of a sea cucumber eviscerating itself. Which is why he digs eating at places where he’ll never see you. (Or maybe you. Or you.)
I’m sure it all stems from the only child thing..
So while I might not go so far as to call this new app called Cloak the greatest app ever invented, I do thoroughly agree that an app that does this is fairly useful:
A new iOS app called Cloak, however, utilizes services from Foursquare and Instagram for a more anti-social purpose. Cloak identifies the location of friends (read: those you’d rather not bump into) based upon their latest check-in. While perusing the map, you can choose to “flag” certain undesirables, like exes or annoying third-wheels, to be notified when they wander within a preset distance of your personal bubble.
