Blayne Shepard, one of the four men on trial for the murder of a former Royal Marine outside a Durban rugby match, received a threatening message through Facebook while he was in court.
Witness Grant Cramer also received a threatening message a few minutes later, which read :
You think because you let go after you choked him and your friends kicked him to death that you are not part of this murder. You fucking are pal and your day will come. Bunch of cowards! Poes!”
The Facebook accounts from which the messages were sent have since been deleted.
Blayne Shepard, his brother Kyle Shepard, Andries van der Merwe, and Dustin van Wyk each face one charge of murder, three of assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm, and one of crimen injuria. All have four have pleaded not guilty to the charges in the on going court case.
