A while back a woman sold her virginity on eBay. Now, 19-year-old art student Clayton David Pettet will be losing his virginity as part of a performance art piece.

The project called “Art School Stole My Virginity,” was inspired by his experience as a virgin as an art student questioning the cultural significance of virginity. “My piece isn’t a statement as much as it is a question. The whole aspect of Virginity was incredibly emotional for me and has been ever since,” says Pettet. He will be performing his piece with an anonymous male in front 150 audience members.
