Nothing is worse than waiting at an airport for hours, bored out of your skull. Other than reading something from an exorbitantly-priced bookstore or twiddling your thumbs on a smart device, chilling in one of the lounges on hand is the only option. But can you play a round of golf in your average airport lounge?
Turkish Airline’s new 5900m² executive lounge in Ataturk Airport, Istanbul, may be the best in the world. It offers visitors a chance to play on state-of-the-art golf simulators, and race Scalextric cars around a model of Istanbul. It also boasts 41 bars for passengers to enjoy a beverage, 28 different places to dine on first-class food and eight massage suites. The lounge has a capacity for more than a 1,000 guests and also caters for children with a modern play area.
So move over SLOW Lounge. We will only accept lounges with Scalextric tracks from now on.
