Going to the hairdresser is easily my least favourite way to spend 45 minutes. For some reason, I haven’t been to the same hairdresser more than once in the past six years and yet they ALWAYS, without fail, manage to style my hair into a crazy bouffant vibe before I leave the premises. I don’t know if I’m alone in this, but something about my hair unifies people across the globe in thinking, “What this situation requires is infinitely more volume, some teasing and a good session of backwards blowdrying”.
“This is NOT what I asked for”
However Hotcuts salon in Australia would have me tolerate this madness by featuring topless stylists to give you a cut and a trim. (Lesser writers would have resorted to some variation of the “cut & blow” bit. But not here. We’re all class”).
The Hotcuts website describes the service:
Our salon has everything you’d expect plus one special factor… Our hairdressers are not only hot, they’re topless! That’s right gentleman! Imagine, a place you can get a cut, style, wash or colour whilst watching a beautiful hairdresser at work with her gorgeous assets out on show. Throw in a complimentary serving of your favourite ‘poison’, a flat-screen TV and a relaxing atmosphere and you’re sure to be walking out feeling like a million bucks
Not to be outdone by the Aussies, the Czechs quickly formed The Crazy Cleaners, a nude cleaning service. The service costs R1,700 per hour and you get a choice of male or female in “underwear” or “full frontal”.
Displaying incredible business acumen, company founder and an alumnus of Charles University in Prague, Katka Kopecka said: “Nobody likes cleaning and everyone likes to look at a good body”.
