Remember when we last posted a story about an exploding whale? Well get out your sick-bags out ‘cos we’ve got another one for you.
Last time we watched something like this happen, a man dressed in protective gear was innocently poking around the whale’s intestines, when he inadvertently released a little bit of compressed gas that was released, and in so doing turned the whale inside out.
As we already know, decomposing whale carcasses release an acrid gas that sometimes build up inside the whale. This gas has the transformative power to change a peaceful marine mammal into a ticking time bomb.
In this video, no one is wearing protective gear. The 25-tonne whale in question is being lifted away as part of a clean-up operation in Montevideo, Uruguay.
