When he isn’t the mood for a island holiday, Richard Branson likes nothing more than to leave his Necker Island home and rough it for a while in Africa.
His home in the pristine Kenyan highlands is called Mahali Mzuri, and it is utterly delightful. Located in the Olare Motorogi Conservancy with 13,500 hectares of national park to explore, it’s what you might call ‘peaceful’.
The 12 tents, perched on the top of a hill, sleep a total of 24 very happy people. If you’d like to be one of those happy people, it’ll cost you R11,000 per person per night (in high season) and R7,000 per person per night in low season.
