Once we’ve filled our phones with apps, we tend to not bother searching for new, innovative ones. Which is why Mashable asked 15 successful young entrepreneurs about their most useful, yet underrated apps.
1. Lift
Habits inform business practice, and good habits create good business practice. But how do you monitor habits? “My business partner and I use Lift any time we want to make a new habit stick. This could be anything from writing a thank-you note every day to something as simple as checking in to Basecamp.” Jonathan Mead – Playbook.
2. WinStreak
Goals win games – you have to set yourself goals. WinStreak allows you to identify three “wins” each day for you to accomplish. Once you’ve done them, you can then set three more “wins” for the next day. Charles Gaudet – Predictable Profits.
3. Cloudmagic
Until some smartphone developer is able to create software to do this right from the get-go, this is the app you’ll need. CloudMagic lets you search across Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, Dropbox, Evernote, etc., through one simple search box. Patrick Vlaskovits – The Lean Entrepreneur.
4. Venmo
This peer-to-peer payment system is severely underrated. Venmo provides for pain-free transactions at the tap of a finger. “We use it at the company. It’s free, it’s easy, and I’m surprised it hasn’t completely caught on.” Rameet Chawla – Fueled.
5. Fleksy
If you find typing on a touch-screen particularly arduous, you might want to try this. It allows you to type without looking at your smartphone screen. “It saves me so much time, and every entrepreneur should be using it.” Brent Beshore – adventur.es.
