The legendary painter, sculptor, architect, musician, mathematician, engineer, inventor, anatomist, geologist, cartographer, botanist, and writer produced a massive, all-engulfing body of work in his life. And for the first time, it’s coming to Cape Town.
Opening on 27 November, the exhibition will immerse visitors in the world of Da Vinci through interactive interpretations of his inventions and studies of his iconic art.
Capetonians will for the first time, have the opportunity to experience over 200 unique pieces including 75 inventions built using materials from Leonardo’s era and three-dimensional renderings of his most notable Renaissance works.
Whether you’re keen on art, history, engineering, mathematics, medicine or general philosophy – or if you’re simply seeing the depth and breadth of Leonardo’s work for the very first time – the exhibition is definitely worth a visit.
