After much anticipation and controversy, the show’s creator and screenwriter, Doug Ellin, has confirmed that the hit show will become a movie. I say anticipation because since the show launched in 2004, it captured everyone’s attention with it’s “one celebrity cameo per show format”, creating a massive worldwide audience.

I also say controversy, because reports abound that the only reason the movie was held up for so long was because some of the cast, namely: Adrian Grenier, Jesse Ferrara, Kevin Dillon and Kevin Connolly were holding out in an attempt to get their fair share. Sources say the deal isn’t completely sealed though, but that all the camps are confident. Connolly’s and Dillon’s deals are apparently in the final stages.

But if you need any more confirmation, the shows’ creator and screenwriter, Doug Elin, sent out a tweet recently, confirming that everything is in place.
