For those who need reminding – Jenna Jameson is probably the world’s most famous porn star. Known as “The Queen of Porn”, Jameson shot to fame in the early 90’s, played a large part in making the Los Angeles porn scene as big as it is today, and was immortalised in wax in Madame Tussaud’s . Sadly, she hung up her… um… boots about 10 years ago, and has since then focused on becoming an entrepreneur and author. That’s right, author.
Her first book, How to Make Love Like a Porn Star: A Cautionary Tale, was a relatively successful autobiography. Her second book, Sugar, was released recently, and it was during a TV interview for the book that everything started to get a little… weird.
To begin with, Jameson doesn’t strike a picture of perfect health. The way the words roll out of her mouth sound uncannily like she may have downed a bottle of Jack and then got a tongue piercing. Be that as it may, she is still coherent for the most part. That is until the particularly quippy male presenter asks her about marriage and monogamy in the porn business, asking Jameson if she could hold down a stable marriage as well as be a porn star.
Her reply? “I was always really good at being monogamous. I like that.”
Presenter: “While you weren’t working?”
Jameson: “No! While I was working, I loved to be… just with him.”
Precisely what she means by that, only she will ever know. Producers soon cut the show before it got too bizarre, as Jameson once again reminded us why not all celebrities can simply turn to the pen, write a decent book, and give a coherent interview.
You can’t have it all, Jenna!
