John McAfee presented his latest project at the C2SV Technology Conference and Music Festival this last Saturday. Dubbed the ‘Decentral’, McAfee’s device will cost less than $100, and will create decentralized, floating and moving local networks for smartphones, tablets and laptops that can’t be penetrated by government spy agencies.
McAfee says that the device will be platform agnostic, working on all major operating systems. Although Decentral is as yet unbuilt, McAfee hopes to be selling the device within six months.
Check out the full-length interview with McAfee at the C2SV event, below. He chats about pretty much everything that made him newsworthy over the past year. Skip to the 25 minute mark to hear him chat about his NSA-thwarting device.
