Are You Sitting Down? Malema Says White People Are His Brothers

After being denied entry to the University of South Africa to give a talk, Julius Malema referred to white people as his brothers and encouraged them to give up land without compensation. He then went on to criticize the University, and SA Students Congress.

Recently, Julius Malema spoke outside the Theo van Wijk building at the University of SA (Unisa) in Pretoria after being denied entry to the campus by University management.

He addressed a large group, with the main theme of his speech being that white people should give up their land:

No white men must leave their land because they are forced. You’re our brothers, but we can’t have greedy brothers. We want a peaceful process. Those who have taken our land must not be arrogant.

We hope you were sitting down for that. He also had some advice for his ‘white brothers,’ he said not to listen to the ANC as they are not to be trusted, and to agree to land distribution without compensation. He added if they didn’t agree, the people would eventually rise up and re-claim their land, and this would lead to an out of control situation.

Another piece of advice from Malema: don’t ask questions about what people will do with the land, because Africans worked the land long before becoming a colony.

As one of Unisa’s registered students Malema went on to criticize the school for not allowing him entry:

There is no one in this campus who can stop me. I will never be scared to stand up for what I believe in. They must tell people the truth if I’m lying and not threaten me with death because I will never retreat.

He was not allowed in the building because members of SA Students Congress (Sasco) threatened that they would disrupt the gathering.

Sasco’s Unisa chairman Solly Nkuna sai:

We have vowed to disrupt any talk given by Malema.

His reasoning:

We won’t support Malema as he talks about grabbing land from the whites.

Economic Freedom Fighters supporters at the gathering sang these lines:

One Zuma, one idiot

Malema is coming

Julius sent us because we are not afraid
