Thailand has the ignomous distinction of being the first country in the world to ban Bitcoin.

The company overseeing bitcoins in Thailand said on its website that the central bank informed it on Monday that it’s illegal to trade bitcoins, move them in or out of the country, or use them to buy or sell goods or services.
Bitcoin had apparently applied to the Bank of Thailand for a money https://www.ativanonlinelowprice.com exchange license for that country, but no feedback was forthcoming.
Bitcoin staffers are saying that the upside of the situation is that the move may give the virtual currency more credibility in financial institutions, which is a funny thing to say, considering that China may well be prompted to follow Thailand’s lead in banning the currency.
