Duratec, Technodat and Evektor are the three Czech companies that have joined forces and created a prototype of a flying electric bicycle. The design is far from slim-line or attractive, but the simple idea of being able to fly your bike is amazing.

The propellers on the bike are battery operated with the bike weighing in at 94kg. For humans to be able to sit in the rider’s seat, much stronger batteries are needed. The flying bike took off for its first demonstration on Wednesday in Prague. The five-minute flight was remote controlled and had a mannequin sitting in the rider’s seat.
