The television drama Sopranos ended its run six years ago. Tony Soprano and his Italian-American mobster gang graced the screens of HBO for six seasons and the series is still the most-watched series to date.
But for all those Mafia watching fans out there, the ending to one of the greatest shows in our lifetime, is still hard to fathom. What happened at that diner?
Arguably what was one of the most annoying endings to a final episode shows Tony eating a with his family at a diner. The protagonist then looks up at the opening door bells and the screen goes black …forever.
So many questions are left unanswered. Who opened the door? Why did Tony look up every time he heard the door bells ring? Was he expecting it – better yet was he prepared for it? Did he play Journey for a reason? Were the sinister eyes from other patrons in the diner in on it?
So many questions left unanswered. In the words of Tony himself “Let’s try remember the good times.”
