In Mexico, an average of 22% of car accidents are caused by women putting on makeup while they drive. In order to prevent further cosmetic incidents, MINI came up with a funny yet satisfying solution.
The “Don’t makeup and drive” campaign targets ladies while they are applying their face style in bathrooms. They cleverly placed airbags to blow up in their face with the message: “There’s a place for everything. Makeup or drive,” educating them on the seriousness of doing their pampering on route.
Some might say that this guerrilla tactic is questionable, but it makes for some great entertainment and the classic shock factor. The only question left then is if 22% of accidents in Mexico are caused by their ladies, then what the hell are the 78% of male accident causers doing?
