Many consumers’ fears with Google Glass is the lack of privacy, but that doesn’t seem to be a deterrent in the porn industry. They want to see the “full potential” of Google Glass. Their aim is to have hands free “point of view” shots, instead of the camera man nailing the angle.

This is filming gold for amatuer movie directors as they can make an “at home” movie. This is obviously not Google’s target audience for this product and could prove to be incredibly embarrassing. Q Boyer, spokesperson for porn film makers Pink Visuala said:

To really know their full potential, we’ll need to get a pair to play around with, but we’re already dreaming up ways to use the glasses to get shots (sex-related and otherwise) that just aren’t feasible using a traditional camera setup.

Obviously a device that allows you to shoot high-quality video in a truly hands-free fashion will make shooting point of view (POV) porn that much easier.

President of Pink Visual, Allison Vivias said:

I see Glass taking the porn viewing experience into a place where it’s completely hands-free, and which greatly reduces distractions that might be ‘mood killers.

If Glass somehow introduces a means to supply consumers with a porn experience that can’t be pirated, that would be an enormous boon to the adult industry, as we’ve been absolutely ravaged by content piracy in recent years.

Some want Google Glass to capture product placements. CEO of Gamelink, Jeff Dillon said:

We’re the Amazon of porn… So I’d love to see a Glass app that can recognize sex toys used in movies then take the user to a place online where they can buy them.

According to self professed porn-trepreneur Joanna Angel, “every new invention – if it sticks – porn will find a way to use it…it just takes a little while.”
