That’s A Lot Of Cheese: R4 Million Worth Of Marijuana Seized By Police On Cape Town’s N1

It was reported about an hour ago, that Western Cape traffic officials have confiscated over R4 million worth of marijuana on the N1 highway. According to Eyewitness News, there were two busts on the highway near Laingsburg and two people have been arrested in connection with drug possession.

This is apparently one of the biggest busts in the Western Cape to date. Ironic, with the honorary Snoop Lion visiting, just saying.

Kenny Africa, Western Cape traffic chief:

Late yesterday afternoon our officers stopped a Mercedes Benz and another motorist was arrested for being in possession of 72 bags of dagga with a street value of over R2 million.

This has not been the first mass drug bust this year. Earlier this year, officials found around R580 000 worth of dagga on the N1 near Beaufort West.
