A book detailing the rise and fall of Oscar Pistorius is set to be published after the athlete’s trial. The “Oscar Pistorius Story” will be written by renowned author John Carlin and will be published by Atlantic Books.
Carlin is known for writing “Playing The Enemy,” which details the story of Nelson Mandela and the influence Mandela had on the Springboks winning the 1995 Rugby World Cup. Carlin also co-authored the official biography “Rafa,” of Spanish tennis star Rafael Nadal.
The Editor In Chief of Atlantic Books said:
As a former South Africa correspondent for the Independent and as author of the international bestseller Playing The Enemy, John is the ideal writer to do justice to all the many issues surrounding the Oscar Pistorius case and trial. We’re delighted to be publishing his book and much look forward to working with him again.
Pistorius is currently on bail for the murder of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp on Valentines’s Day. His trial is set to begin on 4 June 2013.
