In what will most certainly be welcome news for eyewear-obsessed and internet savvy Capetonians, Canadian duo Phil Birnbaum and Tim Chan have joined forces to create street-style blog exclusively dedicated to documenting noteworthy eyewear, titled The Spectacled. Birnbaum snaps the pictures, and Chan scribes the words.
This blog combines our love of fashion and our love of glasses. It will feature photos and interviews of people who have found a way to incorporate eyewear into their personal style. We also want this site to serve as a database of sorts. We’ve indexed all the designers whose frames have been spotted on our subjects, so you can easily explore the brands and styles that speak to you most.
