The 14th annual Cape Town International Jazz Festival is fast approaching and Capetonians have the great opportunity to attend a free concert. The concert will take place in Green Market Square and will feature the best local talent, as well as this year’s international headlining act.
The concert is set to take place on Wednesday 3 April 2013 from 17h00 to 23h00, and will feature UK acid jazz group the “Brand New Heavies.”
South African legend, Jimmy Dludlu will be joining them along with Open Mic Jazz Vocal competition winner, Candice Thornton. Also performing will be Cape Town’s pop sensation, Jimmy Nevis and the St Joseph’s Marist School band.
Jill Scott, Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter and actress, is set to perform at the Cape Town International Jazz Festival which will be taking place at the Cape Town Convention Centre (CTICC) on 4 and 5 April 2013.
Tickets are available from Computicket outlets, Checkers outlets and through the Computicket website.
Ticket prices are as follows. Day passes will cost R440 and a weekend pass will cost R645. There will be a limited number of weekend pass tickets made available. The Rosies Stage tickets will cost R30 per performance and can only be purchased in conjunction with a day or weekend pass.
