Pistorius and ex-girlfriend, Jenna Edkins
Things are falling apart, a little bit.
Oscar Pistorius’ ex-girlfriends have not been shy to voice their opinions of the Paralympian murder accused. Most vociferous have been Samantha Taylor, and Jenna Edkins.
Taylor told the press last year that she was “prepared to reveal what Pistorius made me go through”. She has been asked by police to testify against Pistorius in his forthcoming murder trial.
Meanwhile, Samantha’s mother, Trish took to Facebook to write the following: “I’m so glad Sammy is safe and out of the clutches of that man.”
Some might regard that as a touch prejudicial, given that Pistorius has yet to see the business end of a trial.
However, another ex-girlfriend of Pistorius, Jenna Edkins has stated that she had dated Pistorius “on and off” for five years, and tweeted:
Not once has he ever lifted a finger to me made me fearful for my life. People must stop jumping on the bandwagon with such hurtful allegations. Os is the loving, amazing inspirational person we know him to be.
Her comments brought a response from Samantha Taylor’s sister, Kerri-Lee, who tweeted: “Jenna you are such a walk over. How can you support a guy that has taken an innocent life?”
Pistorius’ bail hearing will commence at 09h00, tomorrow.
Notorious spin doctor and former editor of the UK tabloid The Sun, Stuart Higgins has joined a growing group of experts gathered around Pistorius as he battles on legal and public relations fronts.

In other news, Pistorius is also alleged to have accidentally discharged a firearm at a popular Johannesburg restaurant in January, narrowly missing the foot of a friend who was sitting with him at the table.
