The Indian Premier league has developed a reputation for throwing some serious dosh about. Last weekend’s auction for the 2013 edition was no different. A lucky few are snapped up by ridiculously wealthy Bollywood stars and business folk, and in so doing, increased the player’s net worth monumentally.

One of these overnight millionaires was Highveld Lions all-rounder Chris “Tipo” Morris. He was the third highest purchase this year at $625 000 (R5,59 million), made by the Chennai Super Kings.
