Well I’m feeling much better about myself, now that Michael Corleone Al Pacino has become a “brand whore” (as they call it in South Africa) by doing his first endorsement – in the form of a 30 second TV commercial for Vittoria, a brand of coffee.
I’m not quite sure what to think, other than “what did they pay him?” It’s just that if you see someone who you’re used to endorsing something, endorsing something, then it’s kind of normal and you don’t think about what they got paid. But when you see someone monumentally famous doing it for the first time in their lives at the age of 70, your mind starts asking all sorts of questions.
Do you think that maybe, during negotiations, he started banging on the table with both fists, staring blankly to the side shouting, “GIVE ME ALL YOU GOT!! GIVE ME ALL YOU GOT?”

Hmm… not too sure about that.
But I did like how he played with his hand on the table – classic Pacino right there. As for the rest… Jesus, Al, do you need some cash?
Come over to vida e when you’re done messing around – I’m sure I could organise you an MVP card..
