Yesterday we reported on Two and a Half Men actor, Angus. T. Jones, who, after converting to Christianity, told viewers to stop watching the show. He also went so far as to call Two and a Half Men “filth”.
But Jones, who is a member of a Seventh-day Adventists church in Los Angeles, yesterday quickly backtracked on his negative statements. According to the actor, he will be staying on for another season of Two and a Half Men after all, but mainly because God “pushed him onto it.” We are also pretty sure the R71 million rand paycheck that comes with it couldn’t have hurt either.
Here are parts of his statement, released via his PR firm:
I am confident that I am there for a reason for one more year. I don’t think I would have been on the show if God hadn’t kind of pushed me into it. Because otherwise I genuinely didn’t want to do another year of the show.
He also apologised for his remarks on Monday:
I apologise if my remarks reflect me showing indifference to and disrespect of my colleagues and a lack of appreciation of the extraordinary opportunity of which I have been blessed. I never intended that.
Meanwhile, everyone’s favourite bitchin’ rock star from Mars, Charlie Sheen, also decided to weigh in on the situation via People Magazine. He reckons the show must be cursed:
With Angus’s Hale-Bopp-like meltdown, it is radically clear to me that the show is cursed.
Our friend Charlie, as you might recall, was fired from the show last year due to feuding with producers and for smoking crack. Earlier this month we reported that he is apparently back to these old ways.
