Here at 2oceansvibe, we’re fond of hot sauce and beer. Specifically Tabasco hot sauce, and Jack Black beer.

So what might be the perfect food companion to these already stunning nutritive sources? Pizza (I’m looking at you, Butlers)? Sushi? Sticky spare ribs? For any sane person with reasonable powers of taste, these might be the obvious answers.

But the men who made this stuff, are walking on the fine line between genius and no-holds-barred insanity.

Beer Scream

If you’re ever in Toronto, pop in to to the Beer Bistro for a little beer infused ice cream, dubbed “Beer Scream” (see what they did there?). Oh yeah. Don’t believe me, gloss over the desert menu.

Genius or nut job? I’m going with genius on this occasion, by virtue of the fact that “cheese and lager fondu with an aged cheddar Swiss ementhal”, “Belgian style muscles steamed in beer broths”, and “hot-smoked salmon sliders with beer cream cheese” also make appearances on their menu.

Next up? Tabasco Jalapeno Ice Cream Mix.

Of course. I mean, this kind of thing is totally reasonable. Apparently “this ice cream mix actually makes an unusual tangy treat the whole gang will enjoy.”

Friggin heck, I’m glad I’m in a gang. You can get it for $10 from the Tabasco Country Store.

And finally, Astronaut Ice Cream.

Now that we’re down the rabbit hole, we might as well look at the kind of ice cream we’ll be eating in space once Sir Richard Branson gets his act together.

It’s freeze-dried, it’s creamy and delicious, it’ll last for three years unopened, and hell, it can go to space.

At only $3 dollars an ice cream from Think Geek, and in such flavour-favourites neopolitan, choc mint and chocolate chocolate chip, how could you resist?
