October was a good month. And one of the best things about it was the launch of a certain annual publication, much adored by the South African public, literate or otherwise.

So we think it’s only fitting and fair that we take a look back at the Sports Illustrated South Africa Swimwear Edition 2012 Launch Party Highlights Reel (now say that backwards), before you move on to the next issue and a beautiful thing is forgotten forever.

Set in Cape Town’s Reserve Brasserie, the launch party served, among other things, to reveal the cover girl of the 2012 issue, one Xenia Deli.

Other visual highlights included the arrival of The Captain, who proceeded to mack the entire room, which is understandable and completely his prerogative.
