Felix Baumgartner: ‘I’m retiring’ – The 43-year-old Austrian said he now plans to settle down with his girlfriend and take a “nice decent job” flying rescue helicopters. “I’m retired from the daredevil business,” he said in Roswell, New Mexico, where he landed after Sunday’s feat. ”I want to find a nice decent job as a helicopter pilot. Mongolia Capital Ulan-Bator Removes Last Lenin Statue, You Can Buy It Cheap – Ulan-Bator, the capital of Mongolia, has removed its last bronze statue of Vladimir Lenin, denouncing the communist leader as a “murderer”. The monument was hoisted from its plinth in a park and dropped on to the back of a flat-bed lorry at a ceremony attended by city mayor Bat-Uul Erdene. Mr Bat-Uul said the statue would be auctioned off with a starting price of about $280 (£174; 216 euros). [BBC]

Bekker, Tiaan Out Of Bok Tour – The Springboks have been dealt a further blow with lock Andries Bekker and hooker Tiaan Liebenberg set to miss their European tour. News broke on Monday that the Western Province duo will miss their team’s Currie Cup semi-final against the Golden Lions this weekend.
